FAQs

How do I mount my bike using a Roof Rider?

First off remove the front wheel and attach the bike to the rack via the fork either by your quick release or through-axle. Don’t worry we give you all the adapters you’d ever need.

Next secure your cranks with the supplied strap.

With a clean cloth - our racks work even better if you use water - wipe the area you plan to mount your bike.

Our vacuum cups let you mount your bike to your windscreen, roof, sunroof, or boot. Your bike must be facing forward.

To secure your bike remove the covers from the vacuum cups and mount your bike. Once you’ve got the bike where you want it start pumping those plungers on the side of each cup. Keep going until you can no longer see the coloured bit.

Finally do the same with your rear wheel and strap your rear wheel to it using the strap.

That’s it, you’re ready to go. Enjoy the ride.

How do I remove a Roof Rider once I am done?

Easy, simply lift the tabs on the vacuum cups to break the vacuum seal and you'll be able to remove the racks.

How do the vacuum cups work?

Science! Alright, listen up, because we're about to dive into the science of our vacuum cups!

When you slap your RoofRider vacuum cup onto a surface it forms a tight seal. By using the pump on our racks, you suck out trapped under the cup creating a pressure differential. The atmospheric pressure on the outside of the cup then presses down on it, ensuring it sticks to your car like nothing else.

What are the racks made of?

Here at Roof Rider we’re committed to making our products as sustainably as possible. That's why all of our bases are made from 100% recycled plastic (HDPE). That means they’re super strong whilst contributing to a circular economy.

Can I use a Roof Rider in the rain?

Do I need to keep my Roof Rider on my roof when I am not using it?
